After weeks of speculation about who the next American Idol judges will be FOX has finally made the announcement at a special live event today. Among the rumored names to take over for last year’s judges were Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler and actor/singer Jennifer Lopez. FOX has confirmed the rumors to be true. Tyler and Lopez will join veteran Randy Jackson who will judge his 10th season of the show.
The new judges will replace last year’s Simon Cowell, Ellen DeGeneres, and Kara DioGuardi who recently announced she would not return for another season. Let’s just hope at least one of the judges will bring the same snarl Simon Cowell brought to the show.
American Idol is broadcast in standard-definition (480i) and high-definition (720p) on FOX.
