AT&T to push 4 HD streams

AT&T will push four HD streams into homes with new upgrades to DSL connections and better MPEG-4 compression, that according to an AT&T announcement via Multichannel News. Currently, customers can get three HD streams with AT&T’s U-verse whole-home DVR. This will allow most customers to record three HD streams and one standard-definition stream at the same. AT&T’s John Stankey said they have gone from offering four standard-definition feeds when they launched in 2006 to four high-definition feeds in 2010.

AT&T is adding six new 3D IMAX theater films to their 3D content, which can be found in the U-Verse On Demand library. AT&T also carries ESPN 3D which can be found on channel 1610.
