You may have come across FEARnet searching through your TV provider’s video-on-demand library. The horror/thriller/suspense network also provides content online and through its mobile platform. In October, FEARnet will launch as a linear channel, offering movies from the horror film genre in high-definition on Comcast, FiOS, Cox and other providers.
“FEARnet’s unequalled content offering, combined with the genre’s broad devoted fan base, has made it the number one destination for horror and suspense,” said Diane Robina, president of FEARnet. “Now we’re taking the next step, bringing the best titles in the genre in HD and making them available on an ad-supported linear channel.”
FEARnet says they their video-on-demand channel is currently available in approximately 28 million homes on Comcast, Cox Communications, Verizon FiOS and AT&T U-Verse, Insight Communications, Bresnan and Guadalupe Valley Systems. The network launched on October 31, 2006, and is now ranked #2 among Comcast’s free HD VOD networks.
