Great news for Spanish speakers as Univision will carry all 64 matches of the 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa soccer tournament in high-definition. The World Cup broadcasts will begin on Friday, June 11 at 8am ET. All games will include a 30-minute pre-game show with the exception of the semi-finals and final game scheduled to have one-hour pre-game telecasts.
Univision’s outlets, which include Univision, TeleFutura, Galavisión, Univision.com, Univision Móvil, and Univision On Demand, will combine to provide soccer fans in the U.S. with almost 900 hours of World Cup coverage. World Cup games will be available On Demand the morning after their air date, with some games in high-definition.
