SureWest Communications out of N. California has launched its Advanced Digital TV service as well as Whole Home DVR to the Sacramento area. The IPTV-based service is powered by Microsoft Mediaroom, and runs on SureWest’s combination of fiber-to-the-home and copper networks.
“Combined with our symmetrical 50 Mbps high-speed Internet capability and interactive digital phone service, Advanced Digital TV creates what we believe is the best triple-play package in both quality and value in the Sacramento market,” said Steve Oldham, SureWest’s president and chief executive officer.
