According to the Desert Sun, Time Warner Cable has launched six new HD channels in the Palm Springs, California area. However, the channels are only available as part of certain subscription tiers. See below to see if they have been added to your channel lineup.
Added sports channels in high-definition include CBS College Sports Network HD (Ch. 687), Speed HD (Ch. 694) and Outdoor Channel HD (Ch. 674). These channels are available to customers who subscribe to the Sports Tier.
Other HD channels include Fox News Channel HD (Ch. 655) and FX HD (Ch. 668), for customers subscribed to Expanded Cable. Additionally, Fuse HD (Ch. 671) is available in the Variety Tier package.
A recent article from the OCRegister hinted at TMC soon offering 100 HD channels in the Southern California area. An agreement with network company BigBandNetworks seemed to indicate they would be handling more high-definition programming.
