FiOS TV expands in Rhode Island

As well as reaching five new communities in Massachusetts, Verizon’s FiOS TV has also expanded to two communities in Rhode Island. Residents in East Providence and Woonsocket will now have access to the fiber-optic based service, offering 122 HD channels in the markets.

“FiOS TV gives consumers in East Providence and Woonsocket an outstanding alternative for their video entertainment with superior picture-and-sound quality and innovative, interactive features that cable can’t match,” said Donna Cupelo, Verizon region president for Massachusetts and Rhode Island.

As well as 122 high-definition channels, FiOS TV offers 1400 video-on-demand (VOD) titles per month. In total, the FiOS TV service offers over 500 digital channels and 15,000 on demand titles.

Verizon’s triple service plan, including FiOS TV, internet and “Freedom Essentials” unlimited calling plan starts at $79.99. Additional wireless phone service can also be added.

In Rhode Island, FiOS TV is available in Central Falls, Charlestown,Coventry, Cranston, Cumberland, East Greenwich, East Providence, Exeter, Foster, Glocester, Johnston, Lincoln, Narragansett, North Kingstown, North Providence, Providence, Pawtucket, Richmond, Scituate, Smithfield, South Kingstown, Warwick, West Greenwich, West Warwick and Woonsocket
