U-verse TV subscribers will be happy to know AT&T has added six new HD channels to its lineup today. The channels, all coming from MTV Networks, include: MTV HD, VH1 HD, CMT HD, Nickelodeon HD, COMEDY CENTRAL HD and Spike HD. AT&T reached a milestone back in March when they reached or exceeded the 100 HD channel mark in all markets.
“These HD additions help us with several strategic content initiatives and allow us to continue to deliver more HD channels than the major local cable providers, all at a great value,” said Dan York, executive VP content and programming.
AT&T U-verse TV has two HD options for subscribers. You can get high definition channels with the U450 programming package or for an additional $10 a month with any other U-verse TV programming package. U-verse HD customers can up their HD channel count with the HD Premium Tier for an additional $5 a month.
U-verse TV packages include HD-ready equipment, and most packages include an HD-ready Total Home DVR, giving you the ability to record your HD programs from a single DVR and watch them on any connected TV.
