‘Star Wars: The Clone Wars’ series debuts in HD

The latest Star Wars saga, “The Clone Wars,” will debut on Cartoon Network and Cartoon Network HD (High-Definition) on Oct. 3. The television series, which follows the theater release of Star Wars: The Clone Wars, will bring a weekly episode to Star Wars fans. The first night will feature two premiere episodes of the animated “Clone Wars,” along with other Cartoon Network premieres.

Star Wars: The Clone Wars is the first weekly television series from Lucasfilm Animation. The series will follow Anakin Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Yoda, Ahsoka Tano and other “Clone War” characters as they battle against droid forces and dark side characters like Count Dooku, Asajj Ventress, Darth Sidious, and General Grievous.

Star Wars: The Clone Wars starts October 3 at 9 p.m. with the premiere of “AMBUSH.” In this episode Jedi Master Yoda is on a secret mission to forge a treaty with the King of Toydaria when he is ambushed by Count Dooku.

The second premiere of Star Wars: The Clone Wars airs at 9:30 p.m. with the episode “RISING MALEVOLENCE.” In this tale a secret Separatist weapon terrorizes the clone Starfleet and Anakin and Ahsoka must save Jedi Master Plo Koon before its too late.

Beginning October 10, “The Clone Wars” will move to an earlier 8:30 p.m. slot, showing a repeat from the week before followed by a premiere, starting at 9:00 p.m.

Other Cartoon Network premieres airing along with “The Clone Wars” are The Secret Saturdays and Ben 10: Alien Force.
