MGM announces the release of Robocop on Blu-ray Disc for January 1, 2010. Yes that’s correct, 2010. No mistake there. In 1004 days this film will be released in high definition.
This is a good film. However, don’t hold your breath. They may as well schedule a remake for the amount of time we’ll have to wait for this release. Why not reshoot the film with high def cameras and do it right? It was a great concept for a movie, and maybe Robocop can battle some worthy contemporary villian instead of just drug dealing thugs.
I hope this announcement was a mistake. But while it lasts, and it may, check out the listing on Amazon…you may want to put your order in early.
