An American Werewolf In London (1981) is a great Halloween-watch from director John Landis. The comedy/horror film has been released to a new Limited Edition/Special Edition Blu-ray derived from a 4K restoration of the original camera negatives. The Blu-ray edition is currently selling for $33.49 on Amazon.

Fans of monster films might consider splurging on Godzilla: The Showa-Era Films collection with 8 discs containing movies from 1954–1975. The collection is currently priced $164.99 (List: $224.95) at Amazon and $169.99 at Best Buy.

If you’ve got a 4k Blu-ray set up (Ultra HD BD player and 4k TV) you might consider getting one or both of these classic films. The Wizard of Oz (1939) and It’s A Wonderful Life (1946) have both been restored from their original film negatives and released to Ultra HD Blu-ray. (Don’t miss our It’s A Wonderful Life giveaway!)
