Amazon Studio’s Mini-Series Good Omens starring David Tennant, Michael Sheen, and Frances McDormand will release to Blu-ray Disc and DVD on November 5, 2019.
The Blu-ray and DVD editions do not contain any second disc or digital copies (as are common in Blu-ray editions) — only the 6 episodes along with plenty of bonus material such as deleted scenes, audio commentaries, storyboard gallery, VFX reel, and show featurettes. Some of the bonus material is also exclusive to the Blu-ray and DVD editions. See details below.
The artwork for the 2-disc sets from BBC has also been revealed, featuring Crowley (Tennant) and Aziraphale (Sheen) overlooking the earth.
Good Omens premiered on Amazon Prime Video in May 2019 and streams in 4k Ultra HD on the service. So far, we have not heard anything about a 4k Blu-ray release of this series.
The series’ tagline “Armageddon is coming. Still, it’s not the end of the world…” seems to sum up this slightly controversial show created by Neil Gaiman and the late Terry Pratchett (1948–2015).
