When Captain Marvel executive producers casually mentioned all of the MCU films would eventually be released to 4k Blu-ray, including the original Iron Man film, we didn’t think it would happen so fast. But lo and behold, all three titles just popped up on Amazon in Ultra HD Blu-ray Cinematic Universe Editions from Disney/Buena Vista.
What’s more, each Iron Man film has been packaged in Limited Edition Collectible SteelBooks that will sell exclusively at Best Buy in the US. The 4k Blu-ray editions will arrive on August 13, 2019.
On Ultra HD Blu-ray, Iron Man and Iron Man 3 are presented in 2160p resolution at 2.40:1 aspect ratio (Iron Man 2 in 2160p/2.35:1) with HDR10 High Dynamic Range and a Dolby Atmos soundtrack. Subtitles are provided in English SDH, French, and Spanish.
Bonus features on the included Blu-ray Discs have been previously released with extended and deleted scenes, short films, gag reel, movie featurettes, commentary and more.
The Iron Man Cinematic Universe Editions include a digital copy of the movie redeemable through Movies Anywhere partners like Amazon, Apple, Google and Vudu.
Iron Man, Iron Man 2 and Iron Man 3 on UHD BD are each priced $29.99 on Amazon (List: $39.99) and are available to pre-order (see any updates to prices below). The SteelBook editions from Best Buy are priced $34.99 each.
The listings on Amazon and Best Buy arrived simultaneously with Thor and Thor: The Dark World both on 4k Blu-ray and all editions will arrive day-and-date with the disc releases of Avengers: Endgame.
