We have the release date and artwork for Warner Bros. Animation’s feature film Batman: Hush. The film premieres on the internet this summer on July 20, 2019, followed by Blu-ray and Ultra HD Blu-ray Disc on Aug. 6, 2019.
It turns out, Batman: Hush has a notable cast of voiceover actors that includes Peyton List, Rebecca Romijn, Rainn Wilson, Jerry O’Connell, and Jason O’Mara among others. The movie was directed by Justin Copeland and written by Ernie Altbacker based on the comic book story arc created by Jim Lee and Jeph Loeb.
Batman: Hush, the animated film, was announced at San Diego Comic-Con last summer and follows the release of Justice League vs. The Fatal Five (March 2019) but pre-dates the release of Wonder Woman: Bloodlines (sources indicating October 22, 2019).
Batman: Hush, the comic book arc, ran for one year between Dec. 2002 and Nov. 2003 spanning issues 608 through 619 in DC Comic’s Batman. The story features the first appearance of Hush (created by Jeph Loeb and Jim Lee), an enemy of Batman who is super intelligent and a world-class plastic surgeon, thereby allowing him to master the art of disguise.
The series also explores the relationship between Batman and Catwoman, who is one of the main characters in the story. And, Superman appears in Batman: Hush, having been weakened by the powers of Poison Ivy — another villain appearing in the series.
On 4k Blu-ray, Batman: Hush is presented in 2160p at 1.78:1 (16×9) aspect ratio with HDR10 High Dynamic Range. Audio on both the Blu-ray and 4k Blu-ray is provided in English DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 with French and Spanish in Dolby Digital 5.1. Subtitles are offered in English SDH, French, and Spanish.
