It’s not often we get the option to buy a multi-disc edition with 4k Blu-ray, 3D Blu-ray, and standard Blu-ray all in one package, but the upcoming release of Alita: Battle Angel on July 13 provides all those formats in one edition and includes a Digital Copy.
This is the Region A/1 version of Alita: Battle Angel on Blu-ray (the Region B/2 version appeared on Amazon about a month ago), that means it’s playable in North America, Central America and South America, as well as Japan and other Asian countries.
(By the way, a quick Twitter poll resulted in 74% of voters saying they would buy a 3-format edition of Alita: Battle Angel. Well, it’s here in the US!)
The multi-Blu-ray edition of Alita: Battle Angel from 20th Century Fox has a list price of $49.99 but is selling for $29.99 on Best Buy and Target — a reasonable price considering all three BD formats are included. (Amazon will likely drop the price of this edition soon or upon ship date.)
Fox also has a Blu-ray combo edition of Alita: Battle Angel listed with Blu-ray, DVD and Digital Copy. That version (pictured below) has a list price of $34.99 but is selling for only $19.99 at Best Buy and Target.
Included with the Blu-ray combo editions are over 2 hours of bonus features such as Alita’s World, From Manga to Screen, Evolution of Alita, Scene Deconstruction and more. And, another bonus on the multi-Blu-ray edition is the inclusion of both High Dynamic Range formats (Dolby Vision and HDR10+) on the Ultra HD Blu-ray Disc.
Here’s a detailed look at all the variations of Alita: Battle Angel on Blu-ray including retailer exclusives from Best Buy and Target.
