One of the four Ultra HD Blu-ray releases on Tuesday, April 2 is Warner Bros.’ The Mule directed by Clint Eastwood. The film, also starring the four-time Oscar-winning actor, tells the story of an elderly horticulturist who turns to muling drugs for a Mexican cartel.
The film will release to both Blu-ray and 4k Blu-ray, both combo editions from Warner Home Video including a second disc (either DVD or Blu-ray), a digital copy (either Digital HD or Digital UHD), and a couple of extras.
On Blu-ray, The Mule is presented in either 1080p (Blu-ray) or 2160p (4k Blu-ray) at 2.4:1 aspect ratio. The soundtrack isn’t as “immersive” as we would have liked, available in DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 channel on both Blu-ray Discs.
Special Features:
- Making of The Mule: Nobody Runs Forever
- Toby Keith “Don’t Let the Old Man In” Music Video
- Subtitles: English, Latin Spanish, Parisian French, Canadian French
The Mule can be ordered from Amazon for $22.99 (Blu-ray) or $29.96 (4k Blu-ray). There is also a single-disc DVD edition selling for $15.99.
