The Marvel Avengers franchise gets the most attention this week with Avengers: Infinity War hitting stores for the first time on disc and Marvel’s The Avengers and Avengers: Age of Ultron getting their first 4k Blu-ray releases. Avengers: Infinity War is available in several exclusive retailer editions as well as common editions from Best Buy, Target and Walmart. And, although Amazon has been listing Avengers: Infinity War as “Not Available” (like many Disney releases) we expect there to be copies available upon release date.
Shout! Factory has released a few horror films from the 80s and 90s to new limited editions including The Howling (1981), Army Of Darkness (1992), and Lifeforce (1985), all of which feature new artwork showcased in SteelBook cases.
And, Casualties of War (1989) starring Michael J. Fox and Sean Penn is finally getting a Blu-ray release in the US after several international editions. The film depicts the horrors of the Vietnam War and remains controversial given its sexually violent scenes.
