The NBA Conference Championships begin on Sunday, May 13 with Game 1 of the Eastern Conference games between the No. 2 Boston Celtics and No. 4 Cleveland Cavaliers. All eyes will be on Lebron James as attempts to take control of the series with almost new team that just swept the top-seeded Toronto Raptors. But the Celtics, with some young players who have been showcased with the absence of Kyrie Irving and Gordon Hayward, will be looking to ways to “dethrone the king” with home field advance at TV Garden.
In the Western Conference, the No. 1 Houston Rockets with 65 wins in the season (the most in the league) will face the No. 2 Golden State Warriors with 5 NBA Championships, two of them in the last two three years. Houston lost last year to the Spurs in the Semi-Finals, will they be able to handle what most critics call the best team in the league and make through to the Championship?
Here’s a schedule of the upcoming games that will be hosted by either ABC (Game 1 only), TNT or ESPN.
