In April there are almost a dozen new 4k Ultra HD Blu-ray titles already scheduled for release, and each combo edition comes with an extra Blu-ray Disc and Digital Copy to redeem online. Let’s take a look and see what’s coming up.
April 10
On Tuesday, April 10 you can start the month off with the Oscar-nominated musical The Greatest Showman. The Ultra HD Blu-ray is presented in 2160p with HDR and a Dolby Atmos soundtrack backed by DTS-HD Master Audio 7.1 (List: $39.99). Other new movies releasing on 10th include The Incredible Hulk (2008), Push (2009), Knowing (2009), and DCU’s animated feature Suicide Squad: Hell to Pay (2018).
April 17
On Tuesday, April 17 Twentieth Century Fox’s Oscar-nominated drama The Post will release to a combo edition with 90 minutes of additional bonus content. The film is presented in 2160p with HDR color underscored by an English DTS-HD-MA 7.1 soundtrack. (List: $39.99). Lionsgate’s thriller The Commuter starring starring Liam Neeson also releases on 4k Blu-ray in a combo edition Blu-ray Disc, Digital Copy and minimal bonus content. (List: $42.99)
April 24
New to home media on April 24 is the action/drama Hostiles starring Scott Shepherd and Rosamund Pike, as well as the Fox’s Maze Runner: The Death Cure — the third film in the ‘Maze Runner’ franchise — simultaneously releasing to Blu-ray, 4k Blu-ray and DVD.
You can also look forward to the 4-time Oscar-nominated drama A Few Good Men (1992) starring Tom Cruise, Demi Moore, and Jack Nicholson. And, the 1978 musical Grease starring John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John has also been remastered for release on 4k Ultra HD.
