The Newest Netflix Titles in 4k & HDR: Mar. ’18 Edition

netflix-4k-mar-2018-1280-16x9bWant to know what’s new in 4k on Netflix? Since the new year the streaming service has added a bunch of new titles in Ultra HD, and some titles feature HDR for a wider range of color on TVs that support the specification. If your 4k TV isn’t an HDR TV, no worries as Ultra HD resolution adds 4-times the number of pixels for incredibly sharp images!

We’ve got a few titles we want to suggest, and that’s because we scan each new 4k show or movie for both image and content quality. Of course, you shouldn’t just take our advise, but here’s what we’re watching. See below for an extended list and a link to a complete guide at the bottom.

In the feature-length category, The Cloverfield Paradox is a sequel to the two preceding ‘Cloverfield’ films and premiered on Netflix after Super Bowl LII. Also new in the sci-fi/thriller genre premiering last February is the Netflix Original Film Mute starring Alexander Skarsgård and Paul Rudd. And, the crime/drama Seven Seconds starring Clare-Hope Ashitey released in last month and looks superb in 4k.

For series, Marvel’s Jessica Jones just premiered this week on Netflix and is available in Ultra HD with HDR. The character, along with Daredevil, Luke Cage and Iron Fist make up The Defenders team that launched with its own series last summer. The 4-episode limited series Collateral from BBC and Netflix is newly available to stream in 4k.

Season Two of the Golden Globe-winning Netflix Original Series The Crown was launched last December, but we wanted to mention it anyway as a must watch. Also from December, Season 4 of the Emmy-winning series Black Mirror released to Netflix and is available in HDR.

Also, don’t forget to check out the 6-episode limited series Planet Earth II from BBC streaming in Ultra HD on Netflix.
