This week there’s an interesting variety of new Blu-ray releases for anyone’s taste, ranging from Japanese anime to original series from HBO. Disney/Pixar’s Cars 3 tops the most popular Blu-ray titles this week, available in both Blu-ray and 4k Blu-ray combo editions with a Digital Copy. The release also includes a bunch of extras such as a mini-movie, deleted scenes, audio commentary, and more.
HBO’s Original Series Westworld is now available in a 3-disc Blu-ray combo as well as a 6-disc 4k Blu-ray edition both from Warner Home Video. The better deal between the two is no doubt the Ultra HD edition, which comes in a special limited edition tin case and includes both 4k Blu-ray and Blu-ray copies. Each edition, however, also includes Digital Copies redeemable with UltraViolet partners (no iTunes, unfortunately).
And, another popular new Blu-ray title this week is the Japanese anime film Your Name from director director Makoto Shinka. The feature film distributed by Funimation comes in a 2-disc Blu-ray combo edition with special silver holographic foil slipcover.
Other mentionable Blu-ray titles releasing this week include the DC Universe 10th Anniversary Collection, HBO’s The Crown: Season One, the Harry Potter 8-Film Collection and first four franchise films, and A Few Good Men on 4k Blu-ray (Best Buy exclusive).
