Epson has announced availability of their new Home Cinema 4000 projector that delivers 4k video with High Dynamic Range. The projector is modestly priced at $2,199, with 2,200 lumens of pure color, up to 140,000:1 contrast ratio, and expanded 10-bit color utilizing the HDR10 spec.
With two HDMI ports, the projector is geared towards streaming content through devices such as Apple TV, Chromecast, Fire TV, and Roku, and can also be connected to an external audio system via optical port. 3D content is also supported at maximum of 1080p resolution.
“From the light source, to the signal processor, to the 3LCD module, to the lens – Epson projectors deliver high quality images at a range of price points to bring big-screen performance to a range of consumers,” said Rodrigo Catalan, senior product manager, Projectors, Epson America.
The Home Cinema 4000 can be purchased at Epson.com and select retailers both in-store and online.
