This week Sling TV became the first live and on-demand OTT service on LG TVs, available on most of the brand’s 2016 webOS 3.0 Smart TVs and planned for future 2017 webOS 3.5 models.
That means Sling TV customers with a supporting LG TV can bypass the need for a streaming media player or external device to access the Sling TV channel lineup and on-demand titles.
To install, LG TV owners with Sling subscriptions can select the new Sling TV app in the LG launcher bar, or, press “Home” > “Go to LG Content Store” and search for “Sling.”
“Even with today’s ‘always on-the-go’ lifestyle, we know watching TV from the living room is still as important to our customers as ever,” said Ben Weinberger, chief product officer of Sling TV.
“Joining forces with Sling TV to include their robust slate of live TV and on-demand content further expands the offerings in our webOS 3.5 and 3.0 Smart TVs,” said Matt Durgin, Director of Content Innovation, LG Electronics USA.
Sling TV starts at $20 per month for Sling Orange, or $25 per month for Sling Blue. Take a look at the Sling TV channel lineup to see what’s on.
