Sony has launched access to their over-the-top TV service PlayStation Vue on Android TV, available on all sizes of the X700D, X750D, X800D, X850D, X930D, X940D, and Z9D models.
The Vue service starts at $29.99 per month, or $39.99 in cities with most major live local broadcast stations including New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Philadelphia, Dallas, San Francisco, and Miami.
“The launch of PlayStation Vue on our premium Sony Android TVs demonstrates our continuing commitment to customer choice. If owners of Sony Android TVs are ready to cut the cord – or just want to give streaming services a try – they can download the PlayStation Vue app from Google Play store today.” said Mike Fasulo, President and COO of Sony Electronics.
PlayStation Vue requires a broadband internet connection and a PlayStation Vue-supported device. The service is offered without long term commitment or monthly set-top box fees.
Sony is currently offering a free seven-day trial of PlayStation Vue to new customers.
