Lionsgate’s Now You See Me 2 is headed for home media release on Tuesday, September 6. The film will be available in two-disc Blu-ray and Ultra HD Blu-ray editions as well as a single disc DVD. All three disc editions include a digital copy of the film via iTunes or UltraViolet (however, only the BDs include a Digital HD copy).
Both Blu-ray editions offer English audio in Dolby Atmos and Dolby TrueHD 7.1, as well as Spanish and French audio in Dolby Digital 5.1. Video on the Blu-ray edition is formatted in 1080p while the 4k Ultra HD Blu-ray has 4x the amount of resolution at 2160p (if you account for both vertical and horizontal lines).
Bonus material includes audio commentary by director Jon M. Chu and the featurettes “The Art of the Ensemble,” “You Can’t Look Away,” and “Bringing Magic to Life.”
Now You See Me 2 was released early to Digital HD and sells for $14.99 (HD). The prequel to the film, Now You See Me, has already been released to Ultra HD Blu-ray and is one of the less expensive 4k titles at $19.99 (Amazon).
