Game 7 of the 2016 NBA Finals between the Cavaliers and the Warriors is bound to be a game for the ages, with a determined Lebron James headed to enemy territory in Oakland. The game will be broadcast on ABC, and you’d figure the network would also be live-streaming the event to PCs, phones, tablets, and other connected devices. And they will, but only in select cities.
Live ABC streaming is only available in Chicago, Fresno, Houston, Los Angeles, New York City, Philadelphia, Raleigh-Durham and San Francisco. And, ABC has a disclaimer that some content (shows, sporting events, etc.) may even be substituted in some markets.
If you get this message on the ABC Live Stream webpage,
“The WATCH ABC live stream is not available in your area. We are working to add more cities and TV providers.”
you’ll need to stream Game 7 of the NBA Finals a different way.
Head over to the ESPN web page at http://espn.go.com/watchespn/ to stream the NBA Finals Game 7 on a PC (which you can connect to a larger TV via HDMI if desired), or download the WatchESPN Go app for phones, tablets, media players, and other devices.
Once the installed, you’ll most likely need to authenticate the app with the username and password associated a TV service provider.
