At the top of the list according the article’s three contributors is The Avengers (2012), followed by Spider-Man 2 (2004), and Iron Man (2008). Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014) and Spider-Man (2002) were also in the top five best. But what about the bottom of the list?

It’s no surprise the 1994 attempt at Fantastic Four (the film Marvel wishes never happened) was ranked at No. 39, but what was a surprise is that the newest FF film from 2015 was ranked at No. 41. So much for a $120M budget and past attempts to learn from.

Other flops? Howard the Duck (1986), Captain America (1990), and Man Thing (2005) were also at the bottom of the list.
