Warner Bros.’ next Blade Runner film gets help from Sony
Sony Pictures will be handling international distribution of the next Blade Runner film, Warner Bros. announced last week. The film, to everyone’s delight, will once again star Harrison Ford as the replicant-hunting blade runner Rick Deckard. Principal photography shooting begins this summer. Read more
Showtime streaming in Australia
Residents of Australia who subscribe to streaming service Stan can get Showtime programming including originals such as House of Lies and The Affair, shows from The CW such as Madam Secretary, and Under the Dome, and the Star Trek television series among other content. Mission: Impossible Free Digital Movie Coupon Expires Soon

Spectre gets Exclusives from Best Buy & Target
The Blu-ray Disc release of Spectre will be available in exclusive editions from both Best Buy and Target. Beest Buy will have their exclusive SteelBook edition while Target will have a bonus DVD with over 20 minutes of extras. The film (already available in Digital HD) will release to Blu-ray on February 9th. Read More
GoPro Integrates with Periscope
When paired with an iPhone, GoPro cameras can now stream directly to Periscope — the live-streaming app for iOS and Android devices that was developed by Twitter. What’s more, the video can be stored simulataneously on GoPro cameras for viewing or editing later. Read More (TechCrunch)
‘Mockingjay – Part 2’ Exclusive Blu-rays
Like Spectre, Best Buy and Target will both have exclusive Blu-ray editions of The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2 when it releases on March 22nd. Best Buy will offer SteelBook packaging, but Target seems to have the upper hand with their exclusive edition ($22.99) that comes with a Bonus Disc containing 45 minutes of content and a collectible fabric poster on top of the 5 hours of bonus content with the standard release. Amazon Prime Video Streaming & Memberships up in Q4
Amazon’s Prime Video memberships were up 51% worldwide in 2015 from last year, and Prime streaming almost doubled in the last quarter of 2015. The exact number of Prime subscribers wasn’t revealed, but Amazon says members number in the “tens of millions.” Read More (Home Media Magazine)
