It’s not a monster week for new Blu-ray releases by any means, but here’s a look at several titles that are worth mentioning for the week of Dec. 29th, 2015.
Heist (2015) is an action thriller directed by Scott Mann that stars Summer Altice, Gina Carano, and 2-time Oscar-winner Robert De Niro. The Blu-ray edition from Lionsgate is formatted in MPEG-4 AVC with a DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 soundtrack, and includes a Digital HD copy via UltraViolet. Price: $16.99
The thriller/drama The Perfect Guy (2015) starring Sanaa Lathan, Michael Ealy, and Morris Chestnut has been released to Blu-ray this week. The single-disc edition from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment, formatted in MPEG-4 AVC and DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1, includes extra behind-the-scenes content, including interviews with cast and crew. Price: $18.99
And, the adventure/comedy A Walk in the Woods (2015) is now available on Blu-ray Disc. With an all-star cast that includes Robert Redford, Nick Nolte, and Emma Thompson, the film is about two old friends who hike the Appalachian Trail. The BD is formatted in MPEG-4 AVC with a 5-channel DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 soundtrack. Price: $14.99
