CNNgo is now available on the Roku platform, providing video streams of live HD news, full-length CNN Original Series, short featured clips, and video news sorting by category. The app is supported on both Roku players and Roku TV models in the U.S.
Shows available on the live feed include CNN Newsroom, “The Lead with Jake Tapper,” and “The Situation Room with Wolf Blitzer” to name a few.
Topical shows on the CNN go app such as “Blindsided: How ISIS Shook the World,” “Long Road to Hell: America in Iraq,” and “Future of Travel” are also available on demand.
The CNNgo app also allows users to turn closed captioning on or off.
While some content is available without authenticating, most of the longer formats including the “Watch CNN Live” feed, require an activation code entered through a web browser and subsequent sign-in to a TV service Provider (such as DirecTV, AT&T, etc).
CNNgo launched on Apple TV back in March, 2015.
