Is anticipation of the new Star Wars flick enough to get you to buy a Star Wars-themed game console? If it is, Sony will release a Limited Edition Darth Vader PlayStation 4 starting November 17th. The folks at Sony revealed the custom PS4 at the D23 Expo in Anaheim, that will be available in two Star Wars bundles.
The Star Wars Battlefront bundles will come with a PS4 (CUH-1200 series), DualShock 4 wireless controller (inspired by Darth Vader), Star Wars Battlefront Deluxe Edition, and digital voucher to download four classic Star Wars titles (Super Star Wars, Star Wars: Racer Revenge, Jedi Starfighter and Star Wars Bounty Hunter).
Sony’s EU website says the bundles will be 500GB, but the video advertises a 1TB console, so we’re not sure exactly which will be available in the U.S., or if the edition will sell in both 500GB and 1TB configurations.
There will also be a Limited Edition Disney Infinity 3.0: Star Wars PS4 bundle (available in limited countries).
Sony will be taking pre-orders on the Star Wars PS4 bundles soon, so stay tuned if you want to get in on the first orders.
What do you think? Is Microsoft asking themselves, “Now why didn’t we think of that?”
