EPIX has announced two new original series to begin production this fall. The first, titled “Graves,” will be co-produced with joint-venture partner Lionsgate Television. The series will be a single camera, half-hour comedy starring Oscar-nominated Nick Nolte as a former President of the United States.
The second series announced, titled “Berlin Station,” will be a co-production with Paramount Television and also begin shooting this fall. The series will be an hour-long, 10-part espionage drama series that Paramount Television President Amy Powell calls a “gritty modern day spy thriller.”
The two original series will premiere in 2016 across the EPIX platform that includes EPIX On Demand, EPIX.com and TV Everywhere.
EPIX also announced partnership with MGM to produce an original series, the details of which have not been revealed.
“Tapping into the creative talents of these entertainment power-houses to deliver this kind of compelling programming is exactly what we had envisioned when we created this joint-venture and launched the channel,” said Mark Greenberg, President and CEO of EPIX.
