Lionsgate has announced home media release dates for The Divergent Series: Insurgent starring Shailene Woodley and Kate Winslet. The film will first be released to Digital HD format on July 21st, followed two weeks later by 3D Blu-ray, Blu-ray, DVD, and On Demand rental options on August 4th. The 3D Blu-ray Combo Pack, Blu-ray Combo Pack, and Digital HD releases of ‘Insurgent’ packages over four hours of bonus material including the documentary “Insurgent Unlocked: The Ultimate Behind-the-Scenes Access,” audio commentary with producers of the film, and five exclusive featurettes (see details below). Both Blu-ray packaged media editions will also feature lenticular covers designs.
The 3D Blu-ray and Blu-ray editions of The Divergent Series: Insurgent are presented in 1080p at 16×9 widescreen (2.40:1) aspect ratio. English audio is provided in Dolby TrueHD Atmos Mix and 2.0 Dolby Digital Audio (optimized for late night listening).
The Divergent Series: Insurgent 3D Blu-ray Combo Pack, Blu-ray Combo Pack, and DVD will be list-priced at $39.99, $35.99 and $29.95, respectively.
