Goodfellas is considered one of the best gangster movies of all time, and soon Warner Home Video will celebrate 25 years since the 1990 theatrical release of the film with a special Blu-ray Disc edition.
The 2-Disc Blu-ray combo will feature a new digitally remastered version of the film from a 4k scan, as well as a Digital HD copy redeemable with UltraViolet.
Along with the film in 1080 resolution, Disc 1 contains the two audio commentaries: “Cast and Crew,” and “Cop and Crook.”
Bonus features on Disc 2 include an interview with director Martin Scorsese, the featurettes “Getting Made,” The Workaday Gangster,” and “Paper is Cheaper than Film,” as well as a 36-page Photo Book with letter a from Scorsese, among other extras.
The film on Blu-ray is presented in 16×9 1.85:1 widescreen aspect ratio, with DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 surround sound. Some bonus features may not be in high-definition.
The 25th Anniversary Edition of Goodfellas will be released on Tuesday, May 5, 2015.
