The BBC’s hit show Orphan Black premieres its first episode of Season 3 this coming Saturday, April 18th. But the word on the street is the new season will be readily available to purchase in the U.S. on Blu-ray Disc and DVD this summer on Tuesday, August 4th. The season, starring Tatiana Maslany once again as the street-wise orphan Sarah Manning, will consist of ten 44-minute episodes. As with previous seasons, Orphan Black: Season Three will most likely be presented on two Blu-ray discs, formatted in 1080p with a soundtrack in DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1. BBC Home Entertainment hasn’t revealed details on any special bonus features for the release, but one would expect character profiles, behind-the-scenes content, and “Making Of” featurettes to be included. The third season of Orphan Black, starting with “Episode 1: The Weight of This Combination,” will air on AMC network through June 20, 2015. The series is rated “TV-MA” for mature audiences.
