Universal Pictures Home Entertainment has announced release dates for the action film Blackhat starring Chris Hemsworth. The film didn’t last too long in theaters, so if you missed it on the big screen you’ll be able to purchase Blackhat on Digital HD or On Demand starting Tuesday, May 5th. One week later, on March 12th, the film will be available on Blu-ray Disc and DVD.
A bonus featurette “Creating Reality” is included on both the Blu-ray and DVD editions. Blu-ray exclusives will include the bonus featurettes “On Location Around the World” and “The Cyber Threat.” And, the Blu-ray combo pack (pictured) includes a Digital HD copy via UltraViolet.
Total-run-time of Blackhat is 2 hours, 14 minutes. The Blu-ray is formatted in 2.40:1 widescreen aspect ratio with English DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 and DVS Dolby Digital 2.0. The DVD is formatted in anamorphic widescreen 2.40:1 with audio formats in Dolby Digital 5.1 and DVS 2.0.
Blackhat was directed by Michael Mann (Heat, Collateral) and written by Morgan Davis Foehl.
