ABC News has released a supporting app for the Xbox One console, and, the app doesn’t require authentication from a TV service provider. That means anyone can download the app and view free news content from ABC. The app provides breaking news streams, live feeds, and clips from shows such as “Good Morning America,” “World News,” “Nightline,” “This Week” and “20/20.” You can also get stories closer to home by selecting news from major cities across the US. The content on the ABC News app is broken down into AM, Midday, Evening, and Weekend Editions. Users can save clips, add personalized alerts, and select favorites. The ABC News app also supports iPhone, Android and Windows phones, iPad, Kindle, and Windows 8 tablets, and Apple TV.
