Showtime has become one premium network that’s hard to ignore, with some highly addicting original television series such as Homeland, Penny Dreadful, Shameless, and The Affair. Now Xbox One owners can download the free Showtime Anytime app that offers live East and West Coast feeds of Showtime channels, as well as on-demand access to current and past episodes of shows, movies and events.
Features of the Showtime Anytime app include Pause/Resume, “My List” with your saved programs, “Pining” your favorite programs to the Xbox One Home screen, and voice and gesture controls with Kinect for Xbox One.
You’ll need to be an Xbox Live subscriber, and be able to authenticate your Showtime subscription with the username and password associated with a TV service provider in order to view all content through the app. However, Showtime does offer some content free-to-view even for non-subscribers
The Showtime Anytime app, available for free from Xbox Live, is also available for Xbox 360.
