Several new apps for Google’s Chromecast have been added to the lineup, including the WATCH Disney, WATCH Disney Junior, and WATCH Disney XD suite of apps, as well as the WATCH ABC where you can stream TV shows, sports and local news programmng . Video gamers and those who like to watch gameplay can finally stream Twitch on Chromecast. The website, to be acquired by Amazon for $970M, also integrates social media and chat features.
The iHeart Radio app has also launched for Chromecast, giving users access to millions of songs arranged by artist, song, and genre. And, public talk radio is now easily accessible with the NPR One app for Chromecast.
Two lesser-known but useful apps for Chromecast include the fitness application DailyBurn that streams high-definition (HD) quality workouts. And, last but not least Dramafever is a great little app for those who enjoy drama-genre television and movies from international locations such as Asia, Europe and Latin America – all free-of-charge.

This week Sling Media also announced Chromecast support for their Slingbox device, giving users the ability to watch live and recording programming anywhere with a Wi-Fi/internet-connected PC or mobile device streaming from their cable or satellite TV service. The Sling models that now support Chromecast include the M1, 350, and SlingTV/500. Devices that can use Slingbox with Chromecast include Apple iPhone, Apple iPad, and Android phones. Sling says support for Android tablets is in development.

In order 2 use the Disney Channels u have 2 have subscriptions through ur local cable or satellite companies which doesn’t make since 2 me because it defeats the purpose of having the Google chromcast.
