Weather Channel Back on DIRECTV, New Features Added

Here’s some good news for DirecTV subscribers looking for weather information. The Weather Channel is back on DirecTV and can be found on Channel 362 in high definition. As well as providing DirecTV subscribers with national and local weather forecasts, weekly radars, and severe-weather reporting, the channel has just launched some new features for viewers.

First, Locals on the 8s lets you catch the local weather every ten minutes on the Weather Channel (see pic below). In addition, a new on-screen local forecast has been added that offers your weather right on screen while watching the Weather Channel when you push the RED button on the DirectV remote.

Active Channel forecast lets you tune to the active channel and get your forecast right there. And, the DIRECT App gives you the weather anytime, any place, and on any device that supports the app.

The new features were added to the Weather Channel as of May 5, 2014.
