In two weeks DirecTV will add 4 new channels to the EN ESPAÑOL lineup, including Bandamax, De Película, De Película Clásico, and ViendoMovies. The channel availability will vary upon which Spanish-language service you subscribe to. Spanish-language packages include Más Latino, Optimo Más, Más Ultra, and Lo Maximo, priced between $34.99 and $124.99 per month. All 4 channels will launch on Tuesday, January 14, 2014. (See below for channel lineup.)
Bandamax provides Mexican lifestyle and music programming. De Película airs Spanish-language cinema, including drama, comedy, western and musicals. De Película Clásico broadcasts movies from the Golden Age of Mexican Cinema. ViendoMovies is a commercial free channel airing contemporary movies originally produced in Spanish.
Unfortunately, to make room for the new channels, 3 existing channels will be dropped from the DIRECTV EN ESPAÑOL lineup. Azteca Mexico (Ch. 442) was dropped on Dec. 31. Latinoamerica TV (Ch. 430) and VX (Ch. 433) will both be dropped on Jan. 13, 2014.
