If you were planning on getting hammered New Year’s Eve, and then vegging out in bed New Year’s Day with a movie and TV stream-a-thon, take note: Netflix is slicing off a decent-sized chunk of its library on January 1. Films like Titanic, 50 First Dates, Capote, Braveheart and many others will be disappearing from Netflix’ streaming library.
It appears to be another mass purge of content due to the always changing licensing contracts involved with Netflix’ library of movies and TV shows. Last May some 1,800 titles vanished. You’d be wise to check My List now (the text only view) to see what will be getting chopped from your queue, but a Reddit post seems to have compiled most of the movies and shows that will vanish.
