Here’s an early Black Friday deal that might be hard to resist. Amazon has got The Lord of the Rings: The Motion Picture Trilogy Extended Editions on Blu-ray Disc for just $44.99 this week, a savings of 63% off the list price of $119. The 15-disc set from New Line Home Video includes all three ‘Lord of the Ring’ films (The Fellowship of the Ring, The Two Towers, and The Return of the King) in extended versions on Blu-ray. In total, the films contain 123 minutes of added film from the theatrical versions. The discs also contain loads of extras, commentaries, documentaries and featurettes on both BDs and DVDs, including a 6-part set of appendices.
