Time Warner Cable is currently upgrading Internet speeds for customers in Los Angeles who subscribe to Ultimate 50 Mbps service. The free upgrade to the Ultimate 100 Mbps Internet tier will double speeds for those customers, and also offer up to 30 email accounts and 10GB of email storage. TWC customers with Ultimate 50 service in New York City and Hawaii will be eligible for the free upgrade before the year’s end, the company said. And, Ultimate 100 Mbps service will be offered to all customers in Los Angeles, New York City and Hawaii early in 2014. Time Warner Cable first rolled out the Ultimate 100 Internet tier in Kansas City during the month of December, 2012.
Time Warner Cable is also improving their entry level Internet service by replacing the Lite Internet tier (1 Mbps) with 2 Mbps Internet speed for $14.99 per month. The service will be available starting on November 4.
The Ultimate 50 Mbps service is currently being offered for $64.99 per month (dropped from $74.99 per month) for new customers for the first 12 months.
