Feeling like you don’t have enough channels in your current DirecTV package? Starting today, Aug. 26, you can get a taste of up to 70 more channels available in DirecTV’s EXTRA lineup. To be exact, subscribers to the ENTERTAINMENT package will get 70 more channels, while subscribers to the CHOICE package will get an additional 60 channels. Among the free previews are 15 HD choices including popular channels such as Fox Soccer Channel, NatGeo Wild, NBC Sports Network, CBS Sports Network, and NFL Network. The EXTRA service package, which includes more than 205 digital channels (over 80 in HD), is priced at $70.99 per month. (If you subscribe to the ULTIMATE or PREMIERE packages, you already get these channels.) The DirecTV free preview of EXTRA ends Sunday, Sept. 1.
