So you thought the first 300 would be the last? Especially after the parody film Meet the Spartans was released? Think again. Warner Bros. has released the first official trailer for 300: Rise of an Empire (in HD), slated to hit theaters on March 7, 2014. The film will be presented in 3D at RealD 3D and IMAX 3D theaters, as well as 2D in theaters worldwide.
‘Rise of an Empire’ will start where 300 left off, when King Leonidas dies in battle and Queen Gorgo is left a widow.
The film was directed by Zack Snyder (300, Man of Steel), and stars Lena Headey as Queen Gorgo, Eva Green as Artemisia, and Rodrigo Santoro as Xerxes.
