On Sunday, Mar. 24 EPIX HD will premiere Marvel’s blockbuster film The Avengers. The film earned $1.5b at the worldwide box office and $89m in home media sales since its release in Sept. 2012. Marvel’s The Avengers was directed by Joss Whedon (Serenity) and stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Mark Ruffalo, Samuel L. Jackson, Chris Hemsworth, and Gwyneth Paltrow.
Other EPIX premieres this month and next include Katy Perry: Part of Me, The Expendables 2, and Tyler Perry’s Madea’s Witness Protection.
EPIX is a joint venture between Viacom, Paramount, Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios and Lionsgate.
