Toshiba has announced the launch of new microSDHC Memory Cards based on SeeQVault technology that are optimized for storing and reading high-definition content. Two configurations of the cards will be available as samples starting the end of March, 2013, in both 16GB and 32GB capacities. Both memory configs read at 40MB per second, and write at 20MB per second. The cards are compatible with SD Memory Card version 3.0 and Ultra High Speed Bus I and U1 UHS speed class. Toshiba’s new cards will also be compatible with SDHC devices compliant with SD version 2.0, and will support CPRM technology in standard SD memory cards. SeeQVault was developed by Toshiba Corporation, Panasonic Corporation, Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. and Sony Corporation to provide a secure and protected technology for consumers to store and play their high-definition content.
