Paramount has announced Cirque du Soleil: Worlds Away will release to Blu-ray 3D, Blu-ray, and DVD on March 12, 2013. The film, released to theaters late December, was executive produced by James Cameron (Avatar) and written/directed by Andrew Adamson (The Chronicles of Narnia).
Cirque du Soleil: Worlds Away will be available in two Blu-ray editions including a Two-Disc Blu-ray/DVD combo or Three-Disc Blu-ray 3D/Blu-ray/DVD combo pack. With both editions you’ll also get a Digital Copy and UltraViolet access code. Extras include the “Making Worlds Away” featurette and “A Day in the Life with Erica Linz,” who stars in the performance as Mia. Specs on the Blu-ray Discs include 1080p HD video with English 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio.
The Blu-ray 3D Combo Pack will list for $49.99, while the standard Blu-ray Combo Pack is listed at $39.99. Paramount will also offer a single-disc DVD for $29.99.
With the purchase of Cirque du Soleil: Worlds Away, Paramount is also offering 20% off a ticket purchase to select live Cirque du Soleil shows in Canada and the US through Dec. 31, 2013. (Shows include Amaluna, Quidam, TOTEM, Mystère, KÀ, CRISS ANGEL Believe, The Beatles LOVE, Zarkana and Zumanity, with some restrictions.)
