Time Warner Cable “Standard Internet” subscribers got an early holiday gift today, as the company announced they’re boosting their internet download speed from from 10 Mbps to 15 Mbps. That’s a 50% improvement in speed which will no doubt be noticeable as you browse heavy webpages and stream video from sites like Netflix and Hulu.
How can you get the improved download speed? TWC says the upgrade will happen automatically throughout the month, but customers should enable their cable modems by pushing the “Reset” button. If your modem doesn’t have a reset button, simply unplug the device for 10 seconds and power up again.
The internet upgrade is happening throughout Time Warner Cable’s nationwide markets.
